The Prana Project – Join The Human Chain!

The HelpAlliance invites you to join the chain of humans willing to make a change. Today sees the launch of our Human Chain app on Facebook – a simple, yet effective tool to make a donation, provide assistance and spread the word.

Your donations and assistance will benefit the Prana Project in Pondicherry, India – a special education school for more than one hundred poor children. The Prana Project began shortly after the devastating 2004 tsunami and has since evolved into a successful institution. Here, children of all religions are provided with shelter, care, medical help and an extensive educational program. The project provides therapy for children with disabilities, combining traditional healing methods with modern physiotherapy and enabling their families to support the therapy at their homes.

Across caste borders, religious categories and social stigmata, the Prana Project helps these children and their families build a self-determined life.

It all began after the tsunami
The Prana Project came into being shortly after the 2004 tsunami. Primarily it supports a special school in which 100 partly disabled children learn together irrespective of their religion or caste and are provided with hot meals and medical care. For many of the women in the fishing village, the HelpAlliance’s support is the first step towards a better future and towards living independent lives.
